Special Events

Beth Gladden is a proud UT alumna from the class of 2000. She started working at UT in 2005 as a media relations coordinator in the Office of Communications and Marketing before moving to special events in 2007. Beth has overseen major campus events since then and says she has loved helping with so many great moments for the university.

Mallorie Mendence

Alumni

Mallorie Mendence joined the Office of Alumni Affairs in April 2018. As senior director of events and marketing, she works on planning major alumni and development events, creating public relations opportunities, and directing the alumni corporate partner program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Berry College, with a double concentration in public relations and journalism, and a master’s degree in communication from UT, with a concentration in public relations. She teaches advanced public relations writing for the College of Communication and Information. Prior to the UT, Mendence spent seven years at Blackberry Farm, where she was responsible for special event marketing, media relations, special projects, writing, community relations, project management, and the Blackberry Farm Foundation.
